My writing seems to be On a hit-or-miss basis. I try to hit a home run But I can't quite touch the bases. I am a soldier. I look out upon the faces of many who see me and think hero, but I am anything but. I'm nothing but a pawn used "to serve and protect"... all I do is take the lives of the ignorant. They don't know any better than what the generation before them taught and bullet after bullet they fall to the ground like broken toys worn out at the hands of a child. Slowly, slowly they fall and leave the lives they brought up at home. I am a soldier.

I wish I could draw them-- How they talk: Tongue and ears of flint To spark a flame, Ignite the fire that burns down cities In a combustion of torment. I look across a vast empty ocean as far as the eye can see. I see my shadow looking back at me and pierce my soul with blue eyes ablaze. My eyes aren't blue. So dark like night... Eclipse hides the sun and smothers it so it can't shine. I breathe so slowly. Then I hold my breath. I step out into the ocean and plummet straight to the floor; my feet are made of cinder blocks. My shadow reaches for me so far under the sea as I curl inward on myself. And my breath escapes me.

I haven't really been looking at much literature lately (though I'm starting to go back to it), but if you want me to take a look at yours, I can.

It appears that I've gone off the deep end, as I've attempted suicide very recently and now can't stop thinking of it. I can't stop self-mutilating, either.
